More often than not, you’ll notice that every accessory, bag, watch, etc the hot babe in campus flaunts is enviably posh, but for her feet, she’s picked up v-shaped chappals for not more than 250 bucks! There are no flashy stilettos, but the trendy jute base, velvet-strapped Oshos or the chic v-shaped flats, the kolhapuris et al in her shoe rack.

An offbeat combination this, but that’s what all of them - right from the girl next door to the behenjis to sexy chicks - prefer. “I prefer wearing Oshos as they’re cheap and easily available in the markets. The best thing about them is that they are available in multiple colours and can be teamed up with almost every kind of outfit - jeans, suits, shorts and skirts,” explains 18-year-old Mishika Dhamija from Kamla Nehru College. Adds her classmate Shivangi, “Footwear gets worn-out very easily unlike clothes, and ought to be changed soon.” So they don’t wish to spend moolah on the expensive footwear options, and prefer the trendy and colourful ones available in flea markets.
